Hi guys, I have a number of trips planned over the next couple of months so I decided to put together a list of my must-have Summer makeup products. It can be a pain trying to decide what makeup to bring with you when traveling so hopefully this blog post will help you narrow down your list. I’ve put together a list of my TOP 16 products. From a few of my favourite foundations and highlighters to blushes, bronzers and brow essentials. STROBING/BASE
MAC STROBE CREAM
This is definitely a favourite! The ultimate quick fix for your skin. The Mac strobe cream moistens, freshens and boosts the look of dull, tired-looking skin. I love to mix it in with my foundation to give my skin a dewy finish or I just apply it on my face as it acts as a great base too. It brightens and clarifies with iridescent particles and antioxidants and it enhances the effects of light on all skin types and in all lighting conditions from sunlight to spotlight. I usually pick up 2 travel size bottles priced at €10 each because it works out cheaper than buying the full size bottle priced at €34. The travel size bottle contains 30ml and the full size contains 50ml. If you buy 2 travel size bottles you get an extra 10ml worth of product and save €14. If you haven’t tried this you NEED to! BUFF SHEER GLOW (SHADE – MOVIE STAR)
Who doesn’t want a radiant glow all year round? This multi-tasking liquid highlighter does just that. The liquid lights up the skin giving it an instant glow. You can wear it by itself to brighten up your skin or you can mix it with your foundation to give your skin that much sought after dewy effect. For non-makeup days I’ll just wear this to the beach or pool as it will leave my skin glowing. It’s suitable for all skin types especially dry and mature skin as it gives it a radiantly youthful appearance. There are 4 shades available with one to suit every skin tone from cool to warm. Sheer Glo is a blendable light formula suitable for use on the face and body.

GIORGIO ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION (SHADE – 6.5)
This is another Summer favourite of mine. The luminous silk foundation is oil-free. It’s lightweight and silky texture glides on seamlessly for an all-day, buildable coverage. Perfect for holidays. It has a medium coverage and gives the skin a gorgeous glow. A must-have foundation! Suitable for all skin types.

NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION
I LOVE this foundation because it has a glowing, satin-finish with buildable coverage that evens your skin tone. I find it really improves the skin’s brightness and texture and it’s ideal for normal, normal-to-dry and dry skin types. It hydrates for softer and smoother skin. The foundation has a semi matte finish and has long staying power making it perfect for the sun as it lasts all day long. I would opt for either shade Stromboli or Barcelona.

FOUNDATION
MAKEUP FOREVER ‘ULTRA HD’ FOUNDATION
‘Ultra HD’ foundation provides medium coverage and it looks natural and makes the skin look flawless and feel moisturised. It leaves your skin looking natural and most importantly, it’s comfortable make up. It has a dewy finish so I always make sure to set it with a powder as I have combination skin. This keeps the shine at bay. I would apply the foundation from the middle of the face outwards in upward strokes to lift the features with a large foundation brush.

SETTING POWDER
LAURA MERCIER TRANSLUCENT LOOSE SETTING POWDER
The queen of all translucent powders! This is my holy grail product! Is you haven’t tried this you NEED to. This is perfect for setting your makeup for longer wear, for baking your under eye and for making your contour look sharper. Created in two shades for all skin tones, the soft-focus effect subtly blurs the look of fine lines and imperfections, and it doesn’t settle into lines or pores. It leaves your skin looking natural and not powdery or cakey. A matte finish for a look that will last all day. Translucent: Perfect for Fair to Medium skin tones. MAC BLUSH (SHADE – PEACHES)
I tend to stick to my trusty favourite Benefit Dallas blush throughout the year but during the Summer months I love peachy coral blushes and nothing says Summer quite like this Mac blush. I adore the shade Peaches. It applies evenly and adheres lightly to your skin to achieve a natural-looking application of colour that stays put all day.

HOOLA MATTE BRONZER
I tend to switch between bronzers every now and then but I always end up going back to my trusty Hoola bronzer. It’s a matte bronzer so it is perfect for contouring as well as as warming up the skin. Sweep across chin, cheeks and forehead. An absolute travel essential! The travel size one is TOO CUTE!!

OBSESSED!! I haven’t tried this product yet but I already have a feeling it’ll be my go-to contour palette for the Summer as it contains both cream and powder. This three-in-one palette has everything you need to contour, colour-correct and highlight therefore there’s less to pack when travelling. Available in two colour ways that span the complexion spectrum- Light Medium Shift for light to medium skin tones and Medium Dark Shift for medium to dark skin tones. The Naked Skin Shapeshifter has everybody covered. You can even layer the powder and cream formulas to achieve a longer wearing, more intense effect. Every shade is blendable and buildable. Dark of the dark! This eyeliner gel is ideal for any time of the year but for sun-holidays in particular because it’s water proof. I apply a drop or two of Inglots duraline to make it easier to apply. One less thing to deal with when you’re tripping around!

This waterproof brow product is ideal for keeping your brows in order all day long. This all-in-one eyebrow cream-gel easily fills, sculpts and defines brows.
