Hi guys! I hope you’re all having a chilled out Sunday. I had an early start because I am prepping for France tomorrow. I haven’t been in a few years so I can’t wait. If you have yet to check out my Gorey Getaway blog post it’s definitely worth a read. Right, back to fashion! On Friday I found the nicest occasion wear outfit in Place boutique in Gorey. Firstly, a girl can never own too many coats and jackets and a pop of colour is always a good thing (no matter what the season). I shot this look yesterday with Mei Ling in the Marlfield House grounds. We just missed the rain so we managed to get some nice outdoor shots. Here is a low-down on the boutique and the look.
Place Boutique
Place boutique is all about Eclectic fashion and they stock clothing from both International and Irish designers. Place is edgy, creative and personal – my kind of boutique! The lovely owner Julianna helped me pick a super chic and edgy outfit which I wore to dinner in Marlfield on Friday evening.
Firstly, I picked up this one of a kind blazer. As I am sure you know by now, I am obsessed with bell sleeves so this black beauty really caught my eye. Place also stocks a wide range of both formal and casual jackets and coats so no matter what the occasion and style they are sure to have something that will take your fancy.
Next up is this emerald green blouse. While I usually opt for darker colours I decided to go all out and go bright. I almost chose a stunning white blouse with slit sleeves but I am glad I went with this as I know I will get a lot of wear out of it. It is ideal not only for evening wear but also for work wear. I instantly fell for these edgy jersey trousers. I love anything that’s different and the style and design of these really stood out to me so I had to have them. They have a double waistband at the front in faux leather and lace detailing down one side of them.
Finally, I spotted a pair of silver hoop earrings. I don’t own any hoop earrings so I decided to go all out and get these – I love the style and size of them. Place has a great selection of jewellery, shoes and bags as well as clothing in store. My barely there strap sandals are from TK Max (old stock) and my sunglasses are from Celine.
