I popped over to the Dean Hotel earlier today for the #HOFAW15 Press Day with my two blogger girlies Mei Ling and Gail. From fabulous faux fur to keep you warm on those freezing Autumn mornings, abstract print jumpers to make you stand out in any crowd, to neutral greys for the modern woman in the city – we will definitely be spoilt for choice with this collection ladies!

Top Trends

WILD THING Faux Fur should be top of everyone’s wishlist this Autumn Winter. Seen on several catwalks, from Matthew Williamson and Stella McCartney to Jasper Conran so it’s time to make faux fur your very stylish best friend!

BRIGHT YOUNG THING This is a 60’s retro story with tomboyish silhouettes such as the cape, retro shirt and roll neck jumpers. A feminine and fun story, mixing bold colours, prints and textures together such as their acid yellow Max Mara Weekend coat and Victoria Beckham Jean’s neon tweed dress.

SOFT LANDING This trend is all about feeling cosy and looking modern. Work with neutral colours such as greys and whites, with the odd pop of subtle colour. A beautiful yet understated story, turning casual into catwalk.

MODERN DAY ARMY With a nod to military dressing and a distinct 70’s feel throughout, this trend is set to be huge for Autumn Winter. The palette is mainly masculine and dark, with strong attention to finishing details such as military style buttons and pockets, as seen on their Biba textured trench coat and Ellen Tracy longline waistcoat.

FOLK & ROLL The 70s are back, but this time with a rock and roll edge. Pair a chevron faux fur jacket and fringed leather skirt, with a McQ metallic clutch. Bring out your inner 70’s chick!11855547_10207463894856289_291885684_n

ACCEPTABLE IN THE 80’S Taking inspiration from icons of the 80’s such as Dynasty, the 70’s isn’t the only decade making a comeback this season. Think blazers, colour blocking and ruffles!

OP-POP! The most vibrant trend this season with bold, graphic art inspired pieces such as their Max Mara abstract print jumper and Lulu Guinness taped face backpack. Don’t be afraid to be the centre of attention this AW15.
