Milan Fashion Week | Street Style Diary #1| Lorna Duffy

Street Style Diary #1

Hi guys, I am finally back home in Dublin after a manic but fun few weeks away. As I’m sure most of you know, as soon as Dublin Fashion Festival finished earlier in the month I headed straight to London for Fashion Week once again where I both worked and went to shows. From meeting almost all the cast from Made in Chelsea to picking up the latest catwalk trends; I had an exciting few days to say the least. I will be posting up a blog post about LFW and my London Street Style looks soon so keep an eye out.

As I mentioned just over a week ago, I won a trip to Milan for Fashion Week thanks to Naked Coconut Water. I won this at the Dublin Fashion Festival Fashion Breakfast event (see DFF.ie for more).

Milan is one European city that I had not yet been too and one i’ve always wanted to visit so I was beyond excited. Myself and the fabulous Roz Purcell flew out of Dublin early on Thursday morning and as soon as we arrived we did not stop – the fashion, food and tourist antics began.

We found some amazing locations in Milan to shoot our MFW Street Style looks, the weather was unreal which was a bonus!

I am going to post all of my MFW Street Style looks over the next week so make sure you keep an eye out. Here is the first look we shot last week – Images taken by Roz! x

_MG_7519I decided to go with ‘less are more’ approach and as you probably know, I am a huge fan of black and white outfits. This black blouse is from H&M and it was just under €40. It’s sleeveless, comfortable and yes, a bit daring. #LoveIt

My high-waisted white trousers are from Zara. They were on sale and cost just under €15. The material was perfect for the warm weather in Milan. They are casual but went well with this low-cut blouse.

I bought this yellow clutch in New Look a few months ago for the races and I’ve only worn it once since so I decided to take it to Milan to put it to good use. By adding a bit of colour to the entire look it really made the entire outfit ‘pop’, don’t you think?

My blazer is from H&M and it was €39.99. There is a similar one in Mango as well. (see the new Cara/ Kate collection). I have been on the lookout for one similar for ages so this is definitely one of my top buys this month.
