Monochrome & The Perfect Updo | Shemazing Awards 2017

Hi guys, this blog post is a few weeks late I know (better late than never). I have had a lot of questions about my outfit so I decided to put everything in one blog post to answer all your questions. I’ve included links to my dress, clutch and shoes (and similar). If you’re looking for an updo for an event any time soon then definitely check out Davey Davey (scroll down to see why). I had such a great night at the Shemazing Awards, it was definitely one of the best ceremonies I’ve been too – roll on next year!

MY DRESS

My monochrome dress is from Vesper but unfortunately it is now out of stock. I have included a link to a similar dress below. I have always been a huge fan of monochrome, probably because my two favourite colours are black and white. This backless dress really stood out to me so I had to have it.

MY CLUTCH

I bought this Lulu Guinness clutch in Kildare Village two years ago and it is still my favourite. There’s just something about Lulu’s clutches. They are fun and super unique. This particular one was under €100! They have a great selection in their Kildare Village store.

MY SHOES

I bought these barely there sandals in TK Maxx a few months ago and they are no longer in stores but I have attached a link for a similar pair in the image below. You really can’t go wrong with a pair of barely there sandals. They are so simple yet they really finish off an outfit.

MY HAIR

As crazy as this sounds, this was my first EVER upo. The thought of tying my hair up for an event or in general never usually appeals to me but I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go for the Shemazing Awards. The extremely talented Mel in Davey Davey worked wonders on my hair last minute to created this updo – I loved it. I didn’t want anything too tight and I just wanted a few loose waves down either side of my face. I really liked this look so I might just get a few more updos in the future.

There you have it! My latest ‘What I Wore’ blog post. I would like to thank Anu Beauty for my amazing St Tropez spray tan and Skinfull Affairs for my manicure. If there is anything in particular you’d like me to blog about next let me know. You can catch me on Snapchat: duffyloikes, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter! 🙂

Thanks for reading!

Until next time…
