My Poolside Essentials: Portugal

– SUMMER STYLE –

Hi guys, it’s hard to believe that it’s Monday already. Where did the weekend go? I’m hoping for some nice weather this week even though the weather forecast says otherwise. I have a few fun events on and most are outdoors so fingers crossed. For the past couple of weeks I have been working on my Portugal style posts. This one is all about those pool side days and the essentials I take with me every time. This outfit is from iClothing and Primark – I have included links with the images below so have a read and let me know what you think.

BLUE SKIES, COCKTAILS AND OVERSIZED SUNGLASSES

DRESSES | PLAYSUITS

I picked up this tunic style top from iClothing just before my trip and I decided to wear it as a dress as it is quite long and a nice loose fit. Perfect for the warmer months and it’s simple to throw on over a bikini or swimsuit. Having some sort of dress or playsuit to throw on when you’re at the beach or pool is a must in my opinion. Minimal effort and they look good too.

SWIMWEAR

I picked up this swimsuit in Penneys (Primark) a few weeks ago and I am still loving it. Stripes are huge this season plus this one has removable straps. It was about €15 and they also have similar ones in black. I’ve also included a link to a similar one below. A comfortable bikini or swimsuit is ideal. Think about tan lines, style and comfort before you start purchasing.

SUNGLASSES

My babies, my Celines! I take my Catherine Celine sunglasses with me almost everywhere in fairness. They go with almost everything and they protect my eyes from the sun. What more could you want in a pair of sunglasses? I picked these up in Brown Thomas back in January and they have barely left my face (rain or sunshine). A good quality pair of sunglasses is a must.

FLIP FLOPS

I brought my new pair of FITFLOPS to Portugal with me. I went for a gold colour because I am still loving all things gold and rose gold. From the top, they look like your typical surfer-girl sandals. Underneath, they’re engineered with iQUSHION micro-bubble foam impact cushions for comfort. Their new collection has a wide range of styles and colours available. I’ve included a link below.

A STRAW HAT

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Straw hats every time! Maybe it’s just me but nothing says Summer quite like an oversized straw hat. I picked up this one in Penneys for €5 a few weeks ago and I have included a link to a similar one below. Love them!

AND A COCKTAIL OF COURSE…
