Let’s Get Personalised!

Hey guys! I hope you’re all having a great week so far. I spent most of my day drinking coffee and wishing I was out in the sun – a girl can dream! 😛

For the most part, I usually blog about fashion and travel but I’ve decided I want to mix things up a bit so I’m talking about something else I love in this post – jewellery! Why? Firstly, if you have been following me for a while you will know I am jewellery OBSESSED. Not a day goes by that I don’t add accessories to my outfit. Secondly, I get asked a lot about the jewellery I wear and finally, Mother’s Day is just around the corner so a little gift inspiration can’t hurt. <3

I love mixing and matching rings, stacking bracelets and layering necklaces. I’ve gone through a silver only phase and silver and gold phase and a rose gold phase but now I’m going through a gold only phase.

What’s my favourite piece of jewellery? This would have to be my gold initial necklace. I got my first personalised necklace just over a year ago and it hasn’t left my neck since – literally. It is a solid 14K gold disc necklace – hand stamped and finished. I wanted a gold initial necklace for years and I ended up opting for a gold disc necklace with a dainty adjustable chain and I had my initials LJD engraved on the disc.

The best kind of gift for Mother’s Day? In my opinion, personalised jewellery is the way to go. Nothing says I love you more than initials on a piece of jewellery. It’s unique, extra special and something they will have forever.

Builds Stronger Personal Connections

When you give someone something that speaks to them personally, it becomes more than just a gift or gesture of your appreciation for them. It becomes a symbol of the special connection you have. It shows that you care about what makes them unique, which is all people want in this world – to be accepted and loved for who they are. For example, a gold initial necklace is 10 times better than a stuffed teddy bear that says ‘I Love You’ on its chest. Am I right?

Perfect Gift for any Occasion

How many times have you stressed out about finding the perfect gift for that special person? That’s the beauty of a custom gift, it will suit every occasion—a wedding, a birthday, graduation… you name it.

What Initials Can Represent

Name someone or something important to you and you can use the initial on a personalised gold initial necklace to represent the way you feel. The first letter of your first name, your mother’s first name, your partners name or even the first letter of your family name. These are just a few of the many meanings of initials on jewellery! The meanings you choose can be traditional or completely unique.

How to Wear a Gold Initial Necklace

There are a few ways to wear a personalised a gold initial necklace. You can, of course, keep things simple and wear a necklace as a single signature piece. You can choose silver or gold to match other items in your jewellery wardrobe to complement your skin tone. Mix things up a bit by wearing layered gold initial necklaces. Why not group an engraved bar necklace and an initial necklace together? This would look great with a low-cut or v-neck top. Tip: Make sure you wear necklaces with different chain lengths so they don’t overlap. If you want to go all out you could add a third necklace or a gold choker to match.

Whether choosing something for yourself or deciding on a gift for someone special, you’ll appreciate the lasting appeal a gold initial necklace has to offer. Monogrammed jewellery is timeless and always #trending so it never loses its appeal, and as its meaning is unique.
