CHRISTMAS MARKET AT ST. STEPHEN’S GREEN
#DublinAtChristmas
The first ever city centre traditional Christmas Market kicked off in Dublin this week at St.Stephen’s Green. There are just over 60 trade concessions located in festive traditional wooden chalets along the St Stephen’s Green park between Grafton Street and Merrion Row. The traders are selling a wide variety of festive goodies such as mulled wine, savory and sweet crepes, candy canes and gifts for all the family. The market will be free to the public and will open daily from 12 noon to 8pm.
I had a great afternoon at the market. I even decided to make a start on my Christmas shopping. The Christmas lights and carol singing really added to the overall atmosphere. The Market offered a unique selection of quality Irish made handcrafted gift items, including accessories, woodcrafts and jams as well as seasonal food and drink such as bratwurst, chocolate fountain, artisan popcorn, Gluhwein as well as other seasonal non-alcoholic drinks.
The Christmas lights and carol singing really topped it all off.
Well done to all the organisers! Dublin At Christmas and Dublin Town.
