A Round Up Of The Irish Beauty Blog Awards 2015
So I am only getting a chance to properly catch up on blog posts this weekend and this is the first chance I’ve had to write about Thursday night’s inaugural Irish Beauty Blog Awards.
First of all, I was shocked and beyond over the moon to hear that I had been nominated in the Best Fashion Blog category. I was away in Morocco when the shortlist went up so I only found out I had been nominated days before the awards.
I started Fashion Boss less than a year ago and since then it has become my passion, pride and joy. Blogging is now a huge part of my life and i’ve met so many amazing people along the way. Thank you all for your support so far. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Fashion Boss.
I want to say a massive congratulations to all the winners and nominees. It was amazing to be in a room full of inspirational women. I had a great time catching up with my blogger pals as always.
Taking place in Dublin’s renowned Lillies Bordello, former reality TV star Kelly Donegan and Dragon’s Den Norah Casey were among the 300 VIP guests who attended the awards.
Judging the awards was PR guru Valerie Roe, Breast Cancer Ireland Ambassador Emma Hannigan, Beverly Hills Formula Lesley Cosgrave, Katie Jane Goldin of Gold Fever Hair Extensions and TanOrganic Founder Noelle O’Connor.
The glitzy awards ceremony raised much-needed funds for Breast Cancer Ireland and was MC-ed by TV3 panellist Orlaith Carmody.
Model-turned-blogger Pippa O’Connor picked up not one but three coveted awards. Winning Best Beauty Blog, Best Fashion Blog and Best Overall Blog.
Other winners on the night included Joanne Larby of The Make Up Fairy for Best Social Media with SoSueMe’s Suzanne Jackson winning for Best Content.
I had a great time catching up with all of these blogger girlies. We popped over to the ITWBN stand to catch up with fellow blogger Sinead Carroll of Yummy Mummy blog. Looking forward to the next ITWBN event in September.
There was a lot of brands there so I had a good browse and signed up for a few things. It’s always great meeting new faces at these events.
WHAT I WORE
The dress I wore was from Cari’s Closet in Malahide. It is a gorgeous heavy weight coral lace. It was so comfortable to wear and I LOVE the colour.

Myself and fellow blogger Mei-Ling Tong of Darling Buds of Mei were featured on Goss.ie. A lovely photo taken by Patrick O’Leary. Click here for more details.
I have some exciting collaborations coming up and I am in the process of re-designing my website and making a few changes to the content. I am also working on a number of Youtube videos (I haven’t posted any in AGES, I know) I will be posting a few newbies soon so make sure you keep an eye out.
Oh, and I will be holding a HUGE giveaway soon so stay tuned!
Thank you again for all your support! Here’s to the future!
Thanks for reading! <3
