Tara O Farrell

Tara is currently dominating the make-up, modelling and blogging scene in Ireland. When she isn’t behind the scenes doing make-up for commercials, film, tv, weddings and fashion shoots she is turning heads in front of the camera. I caught up with the fabulous ‘Tara Makeup‘ this week for all things Beauty, Style and Masterclass related. Here is what this weeks Irish #Boss had to say…

CAREER

How did you get into make-up, blogging and modelling?

I started with makeup while I was in college it was part time to begin with. I was approached by a friend of Andrea Roche who thought I could be a good model. Andrea signed me immediately and I started to get regular work which was so handy while I was in college.

Talk us through your typical working day

No day is the same, I genuinely have no routine which is a good and a bad thing. I could be doing a modelling job or make up for a shoot or a wedding. Every evening I answer mails which takes a couple of hours and if I have a quiet day I try to write a blog.

Tell us about your make-up masterclasses – I am dying to go to one soon!

I was getting a lot of mails from ladies and fellow makeup artists asking me when I would be doing a masterclass. A couple of years ago I decided I was ready and I haven’t looked back since. I am planning on doing lots around the country in 2016 and am really looking forward to it. It’s a fun afternoon of makeup and all things beauty.

What has been your most exciting project to date?
The one I am currently working on , all will be revealed next year.

MAKE-UP

What beauty product can you not live without?
There are too many, I love Buff makeup sheer glo, The Balm Mary loumanizer and Stila convertible colour in ‘Gerbera’

If you could an A-list celebrity a makeover who would it be?
I have a long list but Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep , Kate Moss would be some of my favourites.

FASHION

How would you describe your style?
I am very casual in general and love my comfort. I do like to dress up too but try not to follow trends.

What are your three wardrobe must haves this winter?
My leather Freddy jeans, a classic winter coat and nice boots.

LIFESTYLE

With your hectic but super fun lifestyle, what do you do to unwind?
Shop! I love shopping and meeting up with my friends for tea and a chat.
I also just love going to bed without having to set my alarm clock. There is something very relaxing about that.
