VOGA THE HAUTE COUTURE OF FITNESS
Hi guys, I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. So…on Saturday, I did something I haven’t done in years (i’m glad I did it) – I went to a yoga session. Myself and one of my blogger besties Fifi of Enhance What’s Yours decided to jump into our gym gear, dig out our yoga mats and head over to Merrion Square for this super fun session. This wasn’t just any yoga session, it was a high-intensity #SureVoga workout with the founder of House of Voga Juliet Murrell.
Strike A Pose
You’re probably wondering why it’s called Voga and not just yoga, am I right? Well, Voga is a combination of Vogueing and yoga (I like to think of it as yoga with ‘fashionable attitude’) and it is inspired by the 80’s dance scene.
Channelling Your Inner Vogue
Juliet started us off with a simple pre-workout before getting into the hardcore VOGA workout. We did a number of unique yoga movements combined with dancing during the session. For example; we did a variety of fun routines and held ourselves in different poses. We were a can of Sure deodorant to use during the workout which came in handy because we all worked up a sweat.
Once the session finished she got us all to strike our favourite Voga pose for a group photo. I cannot wait to see all of the official shots and we were so lucky with the weather. Here are some snaps from our workout! I am very tempted to fly over to London just to workout with this girl again. I had an absolute ball and burned off a lot of calories in the process. #Yay!
Thanks for reading! 🙂
Until next time…
Love your article! I tried VOGA then, and I found it great.
