Last Wednesday, I attended the Urban Decay Naked Smoky launch in one of my favourite hotels in Dublin, The Dean Hotel on Harcourt Street. As soon as I arrived it was clear that everyone was beyond excited to get their hands on the palette – myself included!
One of Urban Decay’s makeup artists Emma was doing mini makeovers for anyone who wanted to test out the new #nakedsmoky shades. She also gave us some tips & tricks for the perfect Naked eye which was great!
The new Naked palette is packed with a dozen sultry, smoky neutral eyeshadows including nine never-before-seen shades and three exclusives, in both matte & shimmering finishes that comes with an eyeshadow double-ended brush. This means we can experiment with warm bronzes, dimensional greys, rich browns, fabulous taupes and deep black – Naked Smoky has it all. The palette has a fantastic range of shades and the brush could not be more suitable to create that perfect smoky eye.
Not Sure How To Use The Palette?
Well fear not, a detailed look book is included with the palette which breaks down the top four ways to create a Naked Smoky eye. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions – Iconic UD Smoky Eye, the Smoky Reality Star, the Smoky Cat or Everyday Smoky.
The Brush
The eyeshadow double-ended brush could not be more perfect. Use the tapered Crease Brush to lay down shadow, define the crease or blend out colour. To seamlessly fuse shadow and liner, use the Smoky Smudger brush. Small enough for highlighting the brow bone orr the corner of the eye, it’s also ideal for smoking out the lower lash line.
The Wait Is Almost Over…
All Urban Decay Counters in Ireland have waiting lists set-up so contact your nearest Debenhams or House of Fraser Dundrum to join the waiting list. They will be available from this Thursday the 6th and retailing at €46!
I would like to say a massive thank you to the to the girls in L’Oreal and Urban Decay for sending me the palette. I came home this evening to a lovely surprise. I cannot wait to properly try out the palette! <3
