On Thursday (October 8th), I attended a fashion showcase with Dresses.ie for their Christmas Preview with the lovely Holly White. This fabulous event took place in The Meeting House in Temple Bar. The morning kicked off with an unbelievably tasty breakfast – smoked salmon and poached eggs bagels, tea, oj and the most amazing fruit salad! #Delish!
The online fashion site has some of the most beautiful dresses, jackets, coats, tops and skirts from labels worldwide. Showcasing a lot of fashionable and trendy party picks, faux furs and much more. With a new direction for the brand, Eamon Downey, the managing director of Dresses.ie said that “the time was right to build on our original success, by making a significant investment in the brand. With leading stylist Holly White, this was the perfect partnership to help Dresses.ie move in a more progressive new direction.”
The Christmas collection showcases a deep appreciation for design, quality and attention to detail. Each unique piece offers a twist on the classic Christmas dress, and can be adapted to the personal style of the woman who wears them. Strong themes that carry through the collection include colour-blocking, with bold primary colours and strong embellishments such as intricate beading, punctuated by delicately sexy lace work and tough-chic leather pieces.
The collection also reflects the Dresses.ie #SweetSexyCool ethos, the belief that a woman’s wardrobe should embrace all sides of her personality and be as dynamic as she is.
The Christmas capsule collection caters for evening and occasion wear, with prices from €40 to €150. Shoppers will also enjoy next-day, free-of-charge delivery on all orders in Ireland and the UK, sent in newly branded and more sophisticated packaging.
Stylist Holly White was on hand, unveiling the Christmas capsule collection with a fashion show. Bloggers and press enjoyed breakfast as the show kicked off. Holly talked us through each of the five looks and explained how each look represented a unique twist on the classic Christmas dress.
So many amazing outfits. I cannot wait to browse through their new collection online and make a start on my Christmas Party shopping list!
A big thank you to Eamon & Una and the rest of the Dresses.ie team, to Holly White for the fabulous presenting, to Anthony from Yellow Machine PR for the invitation, to the extremely talented makeup artist Tara O’Farrell and to Kevin Heavin of Toni & Guy, and of course to the staff at The Meeting House. I will definitely be back for food and drinks again soon.
Thanks for reading! <3
Until next time…
